Walk Cycle Begins!!!
The lecture this week describes in detail how to animate the 'vanilla' walk. This is the everyday walk, and is generalised to describe the walk adopted by the majority of people to move about. It is animated using 12s, where every 12th frame is a contact position. From here we add the inbetween or passing position. Then we put in the down on frame 3 and the up on frame 9 giving the sense of weight. The purpose of the exercise was to gain an understanding of posing and blocking for the basic walk then once mastered we can move on to more varied 'personality' walks which should be fun! Anyway heres what I came up with by the end of the week, its jsut blocking though - polished animation is next week :)
The other part of the assignment was to convey 'Physical Strength' by posing Stu. I drew a few sketches, most of my references admittedly came from films such as 'The Incredibles'. After selecting one I posed Stu and this was my handin...I feel it needs re-positioning and working on, which I will do for next week as a revision
