Term 3 Week 3: Advanced arcs and paths of action

Carlos Baena and Shawn Kelly host a lecture this week on advanced arcs. It was basically a recap on that particular principle of animation. Whenever somethings moves it creates a path of action. In animation this path must be designed to be readable to the viewer, pushed for beauty and flow in a smooth way. In computer animation the computer can only calculate inbetweens in a mechanical way, so left to the computer to do - your work feels robotic. "A straight inbetween kills the essence of an action".
